Klarus is a new brand but it has already cemented its name among the best flashlight brands on the market. Since I acquired the Klarus g20 LED flashlight, I have been very thankful that I did. This flashlight goes at a fair price but functions very well. It is sturdily built and produces very powerful light with a maximum of 3000 lumens. It has a great throw of 150 meters and has 4 lighting modes. On top of that, it comes with strobe and SOS light modes. Side or tail independent dual switch control
The g20 rechargeable flashlight can be switched on by either the tail switch or the side switch. This can be done by a one-hand operation. When using the side switch, a quick press will turn the light on. Any extra press will change to low, medium, high, and then turbo mode. For strobe mode, you will have to double-click the switch. While for SOS mode, you will have to double-click a second time. A single press will retune the flashlight to the previous constant mode. To turn off the light, press and hold the switch. The side switch has a memory and thus when switched on, it will recall the previous lighting mode.
The second switch is the tail switch. Simply press the button once to turn it on. The low light mode will be the first to turn on and every additional press will lead to the other modes. Just like the side switch, strobe and SOS modes are available, too. Press and hold to turn off the light. While using this switch, there is no memory and thus when you start the light, it will again start from the low light mode.
Powered by one 26650 Li-ion battery
When using this flashlight, you shouldn’t insert any other kind of battery apart from the 26650 Li-ion batteries. Avoid using 18650 or CR123A batteries in this flashlight. The flashlight comes with a battery level indicator that shows you the remaining battery percentage. Different colors indicate different levels. Green shows that it is above 705, orange shows it is between 30% and 70%, red means it is below 30% and red with flashing means that it is below 10%.
